Could be also that make just doesn't work...
Try changing the settings as follow :

Tools => Configure Edyuk => Plugins => GNU makefile builder

When you get there change the make command to mingw32-make and see
if it improve things (it should actually...). Btw this setting ought to be tweaked
properly by default on windows so I guess there's some investigation neeed.
