Hi, =20 you have misinterpreted stuff. Here is right terminology of ECB: =20 The edit-area: This is the area in the frame not occupied by the = browsing-tree-windows - it's what you have called source-window. =20 The tree-windows: These are these windows (also called ecb-windows) on = the left side of the edit-area (rsp. on the right or bottom side = dependend on the layout-type you use). With these windows you can browse = directories, files, methods and a history of files loaded into Emacs... The names of these windows are: Directories-window: Browsing full directory trees Sources-window: Browsing the file-contents of a certain directory = (mostly that one selected in the Directories-window) - not not confuse = this name with your naming of the edit-area - s.a. Methods-window: Brwosing the contents of a file (that one selected in = the Sources-window) History-window: Browsing the files loaded into Emacs... =20 Therefore the command `ecb-maximize-window-sources' maximizes correctly = that window which has listed the files ;-) =20 Try the command `ecb-hide-ecb-windows' and = `ecb-show-ecb-windows'...`ecb-toggle-ecb-windows' (IIRC).... Or see the = section "Hiding the ecb-windows" in the info-manual.... =20 C-x 1 works also as intended - because one of the most important goals = of ECB is, to give the user the feeling as if the edit-area are the only = window in the frame, i.e. all splitting etc. commands (like C-x 1, C-x 0 = etc.) should only affect the windows in the edit-area - and if the = edit-area consists only of one window C-x 1 should do nothing as you = have alrteady seen ;-) =20 Hope this helps Klaus =20 P.S. But reading some chapters in the info-manual would also help - If you go = lost in the manual, then maybe the manual is badly structured - then = please tell me also such problems, i'm always willing to improve and = enhance the manual.... ________________________________ Von: ecb...@li... im Auftrag von Fred J. Betreff: [ECB-list] maximizing the source window Hi I am using left-1 layout, working in a c++ code, need to maximize the = source window, I checked the faq and the only command which come close = to doing the job is ecb-maximize-window-sources, it still leaves W-1 = open on the left, W-1 is a window with the files listed. C-x 1 does nothing, my emacs version is GNU Emacs 21.4.1, ecb 2.32-1 = under debian, I am able to get back to the layout using C-c . lr is there a built in command to let me jump back and forth between the = function declaration and its definition what ever function I happen to = be in?=20 thanks alot ________________________________ Get your email and more, right on the new Yahoo.com = <http://us.rd.yahoo.com/evt=3D42973/*http://www.yahoo.com/preview> =20 |
