I am playing white against GNUchess - black. When the black pawn gets promoted to a queen it appears in the board as a white queen (although it continues to play as a black queen).
I have been using gnuchess-5.07. I have also noticed strange behaviour with crafty-22.1 and en-passant pawns. These are newer versions of the tested engines (http://www.bergo.eng.br/eboard/index.php?p=6).
