Some times, the "terminate" icon will succeed and terminate the application. Other times it will appear to work, and "gray out", but the application does not truly terminate.
Right click, terminate seems to always work, though.
Actually, in versions of EPIC up to 0.6.43 the terminate icon wouldn't work at all when the program was not suspended. 0.6.44 fixes this issue by killing the Perl process. This in turn gets noticed by EPIC's debugger frontend and leads to termination of the debugging session in Eclipse.
