I have many perl files with characters in cp1251 (windows-1251) encoding.

In properties of my project and all my directories I've specified "cp1251" as a default encoding.
Source files are opened correctly in editor - there is no problem with visual editing.

But there is a big problem with syntax check:
all cyrillic characters are converted to "?" signs and this causes errors while syntax checks.
For example if there is a sequences of cyrillic letters in regular expressions, those sequences are converted to "?????", so an error "Nested quantifiers an regex" appeared.

Can I solve this problem by changing project/workspace setings, or there is a promlem in EPIC that should be fixed?
