One can customise the syntax highlighting to an
amazing degree. However there is one faux pas that I
have come across.
I like to have my background colour as black, and set
the other syntax to have appropriate colours henceforth.
However, the $ symbol is not part of any of the
customisable group, and so remains black - always! So
one can't have a black background.
Any chance of fixing this?
Many thanks indeed

Hi,
this seems to be a shortcoming of the ColorEditor plugin. It does not set
the default colour for the editor.
Anyway I think we found a solution.
This should be included in the next version.
