Well, I use a little utility I wrote called gopinator. It splits a .VOB file received from stdin into its constituent GOPs. Upon running gopinator, you wind up with a directory containing a WHOLE BUNCH of little .VOBs named gop-00000.vob through gop-whatever.vob, each file containing a single GOP. Then it's just a matter of catting the pieces=20 you want into a larger .VOB file. For the purposes gopinator, a GOP is considered to start at each VOBU. In other words, gopinator splits a .VOB file into a bunch of itty bitty files, each beginning with a VOBU and containing only one VOBU. NOTE that dvdauthor will crash if given a .VOB file containing a single VOBU. You will definitely want to cat the bits together into bigger pieces if you're going to spit them through dvdauthor. For those few who might be interested, it can be found at http://anachronda.webhop.org/~rivie/gopinator/ There is currently no documentation. --=20 Roger Ivie ri...@ri... http://anachronda.webhop.org/ -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GCS/P d- s:+++ a+ C++ UB--(++++) !P L- !E W++ N++ o-- K w O- M+ V+++ PS+ PE++ Y+ PGP t+ 5+ X-- R tv++ b++ DI+++ D+ G e++ h--- r+++ z+++=20 ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------ |
