I have also re-built the .raw, but with the same results. > What version of > dvdauthor and what's the make of the player? Dvdauthor is 0.6.8. The disk plays fine on a Daewoo, but stutters terribly on a Toshiba. Commands used in preparing the disk were: dvdauthor -x ../my-dvd.xml dvd+rw-format /dev/hdd -force mkisofs -dvd-video -o cottingley.raw /Data/Movies growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hdd=3Dcottingley.raw The contents of my-dvd.xml - <dvdauthor dest=3D"/Data/Movies/"> <vmgm /> <titleset> <titles> <pgc> <vob file=3D"intro.mpg"/> <vob file=3D"cottingley.mpg"/> <vob file=3D"codaDVD.mpg"/> </pgc> </titles> </titleset> </dvdauthor> Tried so far: Original test was to burn the 2-minute codaDVD.mpg onto a dvd+R disk, and i= t=20 played correctly on the Toshiba. =46ull authoring as above - the silent intro appears steady (it's only 5=20 seconds), and the machine-gun stuttering starts about 6 seconds into the ma= in=20 stream. If you fast-forward then play on you get around 6 seconds again=20 before the stuttering cuts in. The coda stream is not as bad, but it does= =20 stutter, which did not occur in the original trial burn. Onto a dvd+RW I burned just the main stream. The stutter is the same. I tried burning through k3b. Again there were no error messages. Again th= e=20 stutter remains. =20 =46inally, I have tried telling k3b to force a 1x burn. The result is the = same. My Toshiba will not read -R or -RW disks. I'm completely out of ideas.
