Trying to pin an application, that was started with parameters (like C:\Develop\JLinkARM\JLinkGDBServer.exe -if SWD) results in error: "There was an error trying to pin this application in the taskbar." Can this be solved if link files can be dragged directly from the start menu to the taskbar area?

Not sure why you get that error, but hopefully it's fixed now. I added support for pinning programs with arguments.
