It enabled direct rendering with no problems. gears gave about the same fps as it did under the ati branch, and showed all the gl extensions. Quake3Arena ran slowly (but about the same as the ati branch), all the GL xscreensaver apps work, Descent3 works but textures are a little messed up, Heavy Gear 2 works but also with messed up textures. Terminus runs beautifully, and parsec works, but with some oddities (probably texture related). Tuxracer runs fine, as does Carworld. The only downside is that UnrealTournament completely dies when starting a new level. I didn't have quite the confidence you did, Michel, but am rather impressed :-) Adam |
