Hello, I just cannot get DRI to work, this is the problem, if it rings a bell to someone. My configuration is a : Linux 2.4.5, XFree 4.0.1, (both I have compiled) and a Matrox G200. The problem, is that my kernel module mga.o is too old. It is a 2.0.1 version and DRI is asking for a 3.0.x one. The module mga.o comes from kernel 2.4.5, which is the latest at this moment. So where do I get this 3.0.x mga.o module ? this is the log I get from XFree 4.0.1 : (II) MGA(0): [drm] bpp: 16 depth: 16 (II) MGA(0): [drm] Sarea 2200+664: 2864 (II) MGA(0): [drm] loaded kernel module "mga" (II) MGA(0): [drm] created "mga" driver at busid "PCI:1:0:0" (II) MGA(0): [drm] added 4096 byte SAREA at 0xc3e1f000 (II) MGA(0): [drm] mapped SAREA 0xc3e1f000 to 0x40018000 (II) MGA(0): [drm] framebuffer handle = 0xe3000000 (II) MGA(0): [drm] added 1 reserved context for kernel (EE) MGA(0): [dri] MGADRIScreenInit failed because of a version mismatch. [dri] mga.o kernel module version is 2.0.1 but version 3.0.x is needed. [dri] Disabling DRI. thank you for your help. a+ axel |
