Hi, OK, I've put up with my Voodoo3 being a bit slower with UnrealTournament (although I can't complain about Quake3), but my G400 32MB is still unplayable with Unreal in timedemo. I get (depending on the level) under 20 fps, and often the game is realy choppy. Especially in heated combat framerate drops to 5 fps or so !!!! So, I tried all the stuff I could set in Unreal, including the Option to only use 16bit Textures, and to use OpenGL vs SDLGL. All this did not help (siginicantly). Where can my problem be ? Is there no hint on this ? Nobody on the list got an idea ? specs: PIII 450 MHz 192 MB RAM Matrox G400 32 MB UnrealTournament 436 (newest) Xfree 4.02 (from SuSE 7.1) Kernel 2.4.0 (from SuSE 7.1) hope somebody knows help |
