I upgraded to test-7 last week and actually managed to get some action out of my G400. It still locked up a bit but it was, for the first time, usable. Horray for the X DRI developers! Today I upgraded DRI-CVS and recompiled. inserted to new mga module and expected more doom. Well I can't seem to lock it up! Not to say there are no problems... The first thing I tried was the trusty sof change settings thing, guarantied to lock my machine up. The screen went black as usual but much to my delight ctrl-alt-F1 dumped me into a console. My almost working HW: PentiumII PC-100 SDRAM BX MOBO G400 16M es1371 soundcard (I heard something nasty about the sblive + g400) System: Linux-2.4-test7 - MTRR - APIC - I2C - DMA I don't really know what to put here cause I doubt if this will help anyone other than giving them the knowledge that reliability is improving...
