I'm sorry if this has all been covered before, but I couldn't find an answer in the archives. So far I haven't managed to get accelerated 3D on my card. I'm using XFree 4.0.1 and kernel 2.4.0-test6. I've configured the server as per the DRI user guide, and when I start it up xdpyinfo lists the DRI, SGI-DRI and XFree86-DRI extensions (I'm typing from memory here). glxinfo reports Mesa indirect rendering (I am using the libGL that came with XFree). If I run a GL app with LIBGL_DEBUG set to 1, the library produces: libGL error: XF86DRIQueryDirectRenderingCapable returned false My X server is running at 1024x768, 16 bit colour. All the modules appear to load correctly on startup (including the r128.o kernel module - the layout seems to have changed for test6 so I symlinked it). I think that's everything... I hope I haven't missed something obvious. TIA, Leo Howell -- Leo Howell - M5AKW ----- http://www.btinternet.com/~leo.howell/ ---- You may think I'm insane, but I'm a stratum zero! |
