Hi everyone, Maybe it is just me in which case I'll have to figure something out, but when I compiled and installed DRI-enabled Xfree86, it broke netscape communicator with of all things a "Bus Error"? and dumps core. Course as there are no debugging symbols in netscape anyone want to enlighten me as to how to proceed. And if you are asking how I know it must be the DRI stuff an ldd of netscape shows the only thing that changes. ldd /usr/bin/netscape libBrokenLocale.so.1 => /lib/libBrokenLocale.so.1 (0x40020000) libXt.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6 (0x40022000) libSM.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.so.6 (0x4006a000) libICE.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.so.6 (0x40073000) libXmu.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXmu.so.6 (0x4008a000) libXpm.so.4 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4 (0x4009e000) > ** libXext.so.6 => /usr/XF86-main/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x400ab000) > ** libX11.so.6 => /usr/XF86-main/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x400b9000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x40185000) libstdc++.so.2.8 => /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8 (0x40188000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x401ca000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x401e6000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000) Any clues anyone? -- === "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs... you're missing something IMPORTANT!"
