I haven't opened the case to look at the slot, but it is on a "0000:01" bus of its own while lspci shows everything else on a "0000:00" bus. And the bios claims AGP too. On the other hand, none of the AGP performance settings (AGPMode, AGPFastwrite EnablePageflip) make any difference whatsoever in glxgears performance. But maybe these features arent supported anyway. Unfortunately, as my other message shows, it still doesn't work perfectly. 3D itself is now stable, but precence of a 3D driver makes the 2D driver stumble into the same hang now and then. Wonder if it could be a 2D/3D synchronization issue? My kernel is compiled with "voluntary preempt" if that matters. Helge Hafting |
