I am working (as time permits) on the Appian Jeronimo 2000 board, which has a gamma and dual pm3 (on two separate heads), so the code is very similar to the GVX1, and i am actually working with John Gay who has GVX1 boards. There is a very preliminary tdlabs-0-0-1-branch branch, which contains code for gamma + permedia3 support on both the kernel side and server side, but not yet on client side. The client/kernel code, which i have not tested (how could i without having working client side), supports the gamma+mx (more cleanup of the context swap could be done, in the same way as the permedia2 code) the gamma+pm3, the pm3 alone and the pm2 alone. Nextly i will be working on the 2D drivers so that my board work well with the dual head gamma, which is broken right now, and once this is done, i can begin working on the client code. Also, M=E5ns Rullg=E5rd, did contact 3dlabs for permedia3 docs, and apparently did get a positive answer, i think. he wants to work on permedia3 DRI support (could be permedia2 also and generic delat in time), but he mostly did video stuff for now, so i guess you could be obtaining docs, if you are serious about his and ask, not sure though. All this developpment could be done in the tdlabs-0-0-1-branch, i think, and it would be best if we could coordinate ourselves so that we don't walk on each other toe's, if it is ok with you Alan ?
