You can try ywo things: 1) In host.def set also #define DriDrivers i915 After install xorg, and before install Mesa, make a copy the file /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/i915_dri.so to a temporary folder. This file was isntalled when you installed xorg, and will be overwritten when installing Mesa. After finishing the whole compile-install procedure, copy the file i915_dri.so made by xorg, which you had put before in a temporary folder, to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/ overwriting the one installed when installing Mesa. In my case, the result was that I got again direct rendering, but with lower speed than with earlier compilations of CVS (but higher than with indirect rendering). 2) Try to install last snapshot from http://dri.freedesktop.org/snapshots/ You must install both common and i915. If it does not work, install the xorg and modules from here: http://dri.freedesktop.org/snapshots/extras/ then ldconfig, and then re-install again the snapshots common and i915. It looks that there is a problem with ati cards. Goodd luck! |
