OSMesa stands for off-screen Mesa. It is not the Xorg version. I checked the Mandrake package list. It looks like libMesaGL1 is the right package. Now the question is if the right libGL gets used by 3D applications. What's the output of ldd `which glxinfo` and ldd `which glxgears` ? BTW, what was your problem again? The start of this thread was something about 3D accel freeze and your glxinfo output looked like direct rendering was at least enabled. Then it somehow changed into "I don't get direct rendering any more ...".
