Hi, pretty good that we have dri and OpenGL on Linux. Thanks!!! ... but ... My radeon don't work as expected. I have the known lockup X11 on start of flightgear problem using XFree-4.3.0 on RedHat 9. Chipset: "ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW (AGP)" (ChipID = 0x4c57) I have tried several versions of the binary modules. All from the time between 7.7. an 14.7 I don't remember which ones exactly. All those drivers screw up the X11 screen when starting flightgear. I have attached a screenshot of the result. Then I have tried several versions from the dri cvs and compiled it myself. Allways replaced the modules which are in the binary driver package and most time also tried some more. Tried many combinations of dropping in parts of the dri source into the RedHat patched XFree source in addition to the plain cvs trees. Also replaced /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86. I don't remember all the tries. I finaly checked out the dri cvs dated short time past the XFree 4.3 merge. I have found an enthusiastic mail in the mailing list archives that this one will be the best one ever seen. But this one locks up also. Does either someone have a fix for the display problems in the actual cvs? I can also help debugging. Or does someone have some working binary modules which I can simply use?
