Hello again, I built a CVS tree pulled this morning on Linux 2.2.18pre24. Everything built fine (except for GLw, but who cares?), but when I installed the module, the kernel oopsed with a null dereference. I discovered that the reason for the oops was that, while AGP support was in the kernel, AGP support for my VIA north bridge was not. Also, the mga module could not be removed, because it was stuck in the initialization state. So, the bug is that missing AGP devices should be handled more gracefully. Cheers, Jeffrey Baker |
