Bug #122635, was updated on 2000-Nov-16 14:03 Here is a current snapshot of the bug. Project: Direct Rendering Infrastructure Category: None Status: Open Resolution: None Bug Group: None Priority: 5 Summary: Compile Error. Details: I was able to have mesa and the dri happily coexist until recently which allowed my screen savers to work without flickering. I can't get them to happily coexist anymore (grumble ldconfig grumble) so I decided to upgrade to the latest kernel and compile the dri. I attempted to run the 2.4.0-test10 kernel which broke the mga dri driver from the XFree86 4.0.1 binary install (previously used the 2.4.0-test7 kernel OK). The error message from the mga driver is that it is looking for mga.o version 1 and found version 2. I then followed the instructions to the letter from the compilation how to but the kernel modules don't seem to be built (Build using the test10 kernel). I have found compile errors and rather than duplicate them here, I submitted a tech support request a few days ago #108135. May I have some clues as to what I can do to get the dri compiled on a 2.4.0-test10 system? Thank you Scott Lanham.
