Greets. I'm having a spot of trouble getting GL applications to work with hardware acceleration. I'm running linux 2.4.9 (with the TDFX driver built-in) and Xf86 4.2.0 (binary version downloaded and installed just today) I have configured X to load GLX and DRI and get the following little bit of happiness and joy in my XFree86.0.log (II) TDFX(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler (II) TDFX(0): [DRI] installation complete (==) TDFX(0): Direct rendering enabled yay! everything should be working now, right? right? apparently not, according to glxinfo: perlmonkee:~$ glxinfo name of display: :0.0 display: :0 screen: 0 direct rendering: No and just Incas your curious, glxinfo happens to be linked to: libGLU.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1 (0x40021000) libGL.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 (0x40094000) So... What, may I ask, Is the problem here? why is it that X can start direct rendering, yet no application can use it? Any help anyone sees fit to offer would be _most_ appreciated. Thank you, - Perl Monkee dr...@pe... -- ELF |
