Today the news is that Sourceforge has found a solution: the blocking of file downloads from the enemies of the United States are now in the hands of the developer. It is a first step in a good direction, and enough for me not to leave Sourceforge as I had decided to do when I knew about such absurd measures. I'm back :)

Hoy la noticia es que Sourceforge ha encontrado una solución: el bloqueo de las descargas desde países enemigos de los Estados Unidos ahora están en manos del desarrollador. Es un primer paso en una buena dirección, y suficiente para mí para no dejar Sourceforge como había decidido hacer cuando me enteré de tan absurdas medidas. Estoy de vuelta :)

I'll keep an eye on events but if Sourceforge goes on with the censorship of specific countries that are disliked by the United States, I will delete every file and continue only in launchpad.net

Sourceforge has taken the decission to backstab the Open Source community by deciding that it is more important to comply with an unfair US law than with Open Source.

As some of you will already know, Sourceforge is blocking some countries like Cuba, Syria and North Korea because they are enemies of the United States and so they are not allowed to export US technology there. However, Sourceforge is composed of projects like this which are not from the United States, so they should not be subject to such laws.... read more

No hay cambios en el código interno, pero en el tiempo que he conseguido dedicar a esto ultimamente (poquito, muy poquito, esperemos que cambie), he montado un script en perl para que la instalación sea relativamente sencilla.

There is no changes to the code and there was little time to code (lets hope this changes); though, I've written a perl script so the dreamtranet is relatively easy to install.

Dreamtranet is a GPL Intranet project primarily developed for the Dreamsite company (www.dreamsite.es), which tries to focus in modularization so that it can provide useful code to be reused in similar projects.
