Hi James, Thanks a lot for the help. I was able to build the libdwarf libraries by getting the sources. The compilation went through and I was trying to run the hello world program given in the samples dir. The analyis tool (eut_hello) was able to run the dpclSD and dpcld on the remote host using rsh, but after the connection happened something seems to be going wrong and the connection goes down and throws an error "ASC_communication_failure" . Meanwhile the a.out program stops execution. Am not able to comprehend whats going wrong. The dpcl Daemon is not dumping any core neither does it create a log file in /tmp dir. ( which I guess means it has gracefully existed ). I have enabled all the DEBUG options on the client as well as the daemon. Below is the log dump of the eut_hello prog.. enroll key 1: tag = 0 fp = 1 enroll key 3: tag = 0 fp = 458b08ec enroll key 2: tag = 0 fp = 458b08ec enroll key 0: tag = 0 fp = ec815356 enroll key 7: tag = 0 fp = 8b10ec83 enroll key 4: tag = 0 fp = 45c708ec enroll key 22: tag = 0 fp = 458b08ec enroll key 47: tag = 0 fp = 680cec83 enroll key 57: tag = 0 fp = 458b08ec Service specified in environment Service in env = dpcld Service in global = dpcld Connecting to process 2750 on node 10.200.68.253 Process::connect: connecting to pid 2750 on 10.200.68.253 find_add_serv( 10.200.68.253 -> 10.200.68.253 ): start new daemon _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_incr: count = 1 _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_incr: count = 2 _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_incr: count = 3 _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_decr: count = 2 _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_incr: count = 3 _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_decr: count = 2 start daemon 10.200.68.253: state is NOT_STARTED _Daisd::open_connection() socket = 3 hostname = 10.200.68.253 service name = dpcld enroll key 58: tag = 804e1c8 fp = 8b10ec83 enroll key 58: tag = 0 fp = 458b10ec ### send message AIS_KEY_MSG size = 4 AisWaitEvent:: Waiting for event ### recv message (internal cb 58) size = 56 execute key 58 enroll key 34: tag = 804e1c8 fp = 18ec8353 enroll key 34: tag = 0 fp = 458b10ec 0000000000000000000000002800ffffffb9ffffffe5ffffffc7ffffffb0ffffffb8ffff ffb6ffffffafffffffddffffffd163ffffffde5bfffffff334ffffff99ffffffd5ffffff 91fffffff9ffffffe7ffffffdaffffffd4114d07fffffff4ffffffc85d3dffffffa03cff ffff9b2fffffffafffffffe6ffffffc1ffffffbcffffffbbffffff8535ffffffe30100 The received msg is: ### send message AIS_AUTH_MSG size = 184 cleanup_cb: removing callback 58. remove key 58 AisWaitEvent:: Waiting for event ### recv message 34 size = 12 execute key 34 AisStatus_cb(): the sts is 0/0 cleanup_cb: removing callback 34. remove key 34 ### daemon state is now DAEMON_READY _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_incr: count = 3 enroll key 58: tag = 804e1b8 fp = ec835356 enroll key 58: tag = 0 fp = 458b10ec ### send message AIS_CONNECT_MSG size = 30 _Daisd '10.200.68.253' ref_decr: count = 2 AisWaitEvent:: Waiting for event ******************************************* It waits here for a couple of seconds and then the connection goes down.
