Hi all, earlier in this mailing list (subject: Re: OMPItrace DPCL 3.2.1) there were problems reported for OMPItrace starting a large application (lm_v2.1). After some debugging I applied another tool (dynaprof) that is using DPCL underneath, to the same application. I got the following output. dpcl_server.C:do_init_and_stop(char *, int, char **, char **, int *, char ***, int *, int):192: POE bcreate(v80i09.mop.ibm.com,/works/work4/cp/dpcl/misc/poe,( /works/work4/cp/dpcl/misc/poe,/scratch/pospiech/lm_2.1/lm_v2.1)) ASC_invalid_pid, did you prelink the executable? This output was generated by the following dynaprof lines of code. DBG((stderr,"POE bcreate(,,(,))\n",host,poepath, poepath_and_argv[0],poepath_and_argv[1])); sts = poe_appl.bcreate(host,poepath,poepath_and_argv,envp,stdout_cb,NULL,stderr_cb,NULL); if (sts.status() != ASC_success) { fprintf(stderr,", did you prelink the executable?\n",sts.status_name()); return(0); } All input parameters as reported by the DBG statement look correct. But I didn't provide a pid (since I didn't do an poe_attach), how can it be wrong ? This error is reproducible. Apparently the error occurs before the application is properly started. -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen/Best Regards Dr. Christoph Pospiech High Performance & Parallel Computing Advanced Computing Technology Center Phone +49-6221-594338, Fax: ...-59-3400, eMail: pos...@de...
