Sorry for the very late reply, I was in China last week (did that excuse work?) Anyway. I am unfortunately a very much rabid Window user. I peeked over the linux fence few years ago but the steep installation curve turned me off big time. And Windows is all we got at work. I tried to install CVS on my XP Apache/PHP laptop and got all that nice require_once errors (it was never a problem with 1.0.2), so I resorted to my hosted linux server, everything went fine. I agree with the consensus reached in these discussions that we should get 2.0 RC1 out of the door without Windows support. But we really should have Windows support in the long run, for all the reasons Dana and others have listed. The corporate America, anyway, are so entrenched in Windows. My company, for example, just paid who knows how much money for a dumb ASP issue tracking system that DP or Mantis could wipe the floor with any day. Part of the reason is that we do not have single Linux box and probably never will. I don't know the statistics of servers but as long as M$ pumps out their own non-standard crap, corporations are going to lap it up, because they have already invested way too much. It would be great if we don't have to alienate a whole bunch people for M$. Once we get 2.0 RC1 out, I'd be happy (well, maybe not exactly happy! ;) to work some Windows bugs. Any help you guys can put in for 2.0 RC1 will be greatly appreciated! Ray Don't hate me, my next computer will probabaly be a nice 12 inch Powerbook...ummm...
