Ok, I did a little test - I installed IIS5 on Windows XP SP2, MySQL 4.1, PHP 4.3.10, made them play nice together (grr making php work in IIS was a really messy job ... not too bad if you know what you are doing, but a lot of things to do before it actually works). PHP working as an ISAPI module. Installed latest cvs dotproject on that setup and to my surprise (after all the cries) everything seems to be working. I changed translation to bulgarian to see weird translation issues, changed date preferences, then created users, companies, projects, tasks, events, files ... played around, trying to see any problems and I couldn't find any of the mentioned bugs. From my little test, I for myself can call the current state stable and completely workable. (besides having a bug, empty line, in my translation). The only issue I found, that I haven't seen in linux is that if you login to dotproject/ without putting the index.php file at the end, it can't find the page, but that can easily be fixed by checking if the incoming url on login has index.php and if not, attaching it I suppose. All in all, I don't see why we should label a working version inoperative just because some people couldn't get their configuration right ... I don't know if that has been the problem, but I can't find another good explanation.
