e2m7- theres isolated area at left-bottom corner. There's a switch @red key. When i press it, level restarts. Then Tried from savegame- it works. not always.
Are you sure this is not a teleport switch that just teleports the player back to the level start position. If it is then your weapon and armor will not change.
I do not know how any button could restart the level.

I tried two versions of DoomLegacy (Linux 2.4) on ultdoom e2m7
and tried the switch.
Never had a problem, no restart of the level.
It just opens a door, behind which is another switch, which opens a secret
area where you start the level.
It is a 33 D1 Open Door RED, commonly used in many wads.
We really needs someone running Win32 to do debugging.

yes, it not teleport. It opens door.
