DodoCAD Version 0.3 Released 2004 August 12 DodoCAD (http://dodocad.sf.net) is a Free suite of AutoCAD utilities licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). The project is also a framework for further development of these tools and information particularly related to Architecture and Engineering. Release Summary This release includes a fix that was causing problems loading DodoCAD when profiles weren't being used. New tools include Join Lines, Break at Point, Weld Lines, Revision Cloud, Areas of Polylines, Attribute Box, Duplicate Removal, Flatten, Global Properties change for plotstyle, and new Property linetypes. Also completed was the new slide browser that we hope to use in upcoming releases for the selection of objects, templates or other routines. Release Details o Profile path checking now handles unspecified situations which was preventing DodoCAD from loading in some situations. o Added Join Lines (JOIN) to connect two lines together at their intersection. o Added Break at Point (BRR). o Added Weld Lines function to connect two different lines between their farthest endpoints. o New Revision Cloud (REVC) drawing tool. o Added Areas of Polylines (AREAS) to total polyline areas in square acres, feet and inches. o Created Attribute Box (ATTBX), a routine to create a three-dimensional rectangular block with a description tag based on distances entered by the user. The corresponding Attribute Box Edit (ATTBXE) then makes adjusting these dimensions very quick. o New Duplicate Removal tool. o Added Flatten command to change Z-coordinates to 0. o New Global Properties change option for Plotstyle. o Created PROPERTY, PROPERTYX2, PROPERTY2 linetypes. o Adjusted FIRE* linetypes to slightly smaller length. o New slide browser. While not enabled this version, future releases will display thumbnails for the user to select blocks, templates and other inserts through previews.
