Oscar, The keyfile is he shared secret you specified on your cable interface. = If you don't use shared secret (mic), then create a file and put a = letter in it. You will need to read RFC 2669 and RFC 2670 to understand the contents = of the file. My first problem is I don't understand how, where o when to use the key=20 file when I use docsis -e <modem_cfg_file> <key_file> <output_file> What should the key file look like or contain? I have always used=20 graphical editors and I was never asked for a key so I don't know how=20 this works. My second problem is actually understanding each configuration parameter = (what it means, how to use it, when to use it, why to use it and=20 where). The DOCSIS RFI specifications don't tell me this (or at least I = haven't found the right page). Can anybody guide towards understanding=20 DOCSIS config files. Thanks in advance.
