Stan, Do you know what you actually need to do to import a CVC Certificate = into the config file? I made a simple perl script that does it for me automatically. # Build the @cvcLine array (open the certificate file, read it 254 bytes = at a time, and put each piece in the array) open (CERT, "<", "certificates/$cert_name") || die("Can't open = $cert_name: $!"); binmode(CERT); while (read(CERT,$cvcLine[$i],254)) { $i++; } close (CERT); # Output the data from the @cvcLine array into the config file (read the = array, one element at a time and that's it) open (CFG, ">", "$conf_file") || die("Can't open $conf_file: $!"); foreach $out (@cvcLine) { if ($out ne "") { print CFG "\tMfgCVCData 0x"; foreach (split(//, $out)) { printf CFG ("%02x",ord($_)); } print CFG ";\n"; } } Some variable initializations are probably missing as I took this code = directly out from my script. No openssl needed. As such as I said before, this can easily be done by = the front-end. We use the docsis compiler quite often without any front-end, or = sometimes=20 with a set of text templates as a front-end. And importing a certificate by using the Cisco config generator, which is not very nice. The functionality would be quite easy, I think all neccesary functions = are available in openssl, one needs only to integrate them together. And it would be a pain without the active project maintainer :-) cheers, stan -------------------------------------------------------------------------= Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
