Every Makefile in the project use $(MAKE), exept in xsl/extensions/Makefile. If gnu make, which is
mandatory, is called gmake on someone's plateform, the extensions can't be compiled.

This'll only solve half the problem because I don't think
the .class/Makefile machinery is in CVS. Hmm. I think I'll
leave this open until I fix that.
