It turns out the problem was that DjatokaCompress and DjatokaExtract were running under GNU Java instead of Sun Java. If anybody is getting the same NoClassDefFoundError, look in the error message for gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader. The "gnu" at the beginning is what gives it away. What fixed this for me was reconfiguring the alternatives for java to point to the Sun Java installation. -Matt ________________________________ From: Matt Trobaugh [mailto:mt...@ma...] Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2008 5:20 PM To: dja...@li... Subject: [djatoka-devel] Just installed Djatoka and it doesn't seem to beworking I recently installed the Djatoka image server on a 32 bit linux vm. I tried to test the compression and extraction applications as per the "getting started" section of the documentation. Neither of them worked properly. compress.sh created the jp2 file, but the process never ended. I pushed it to the background and it was still going the next day. extract.sh crashed with a NoClassDefFoundError: gov.lanl.adore.djatoka.io.writer.JPGWriter. I'm a bit of a newbie, so I could be missing something obvious. Any Ideas? -Matt |
