I didn't use the install program at all. I took the package, unziped it and just took the digirprov folder out. Dave Vieglais has a pretty decent manual with it, as well there are some docs from a course that CISE did here in Canada, one which specifically goes through the manual install of the digirprov package: http://www.cise-scie.ca/english/technical/e-Learning/module_DiGIR.cfm Between them all I cobbled together enough information to get it installed, or atleast I think I have it installed :) So in short, I didn't actually install apache so I didn't have to do anything with it. Subject: Re: [Digir-dev] DiGIR Install Ken, The services are not required for a provider to function. They start the apache web server and a cron service. The cron service manages the provider and apache log files. I don't have the answer to the eg-search.php question. If DiGIR.php is giving you access to your data, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm curious what you did with the GBIF installer on a system with IIS. Did you just turn off Apache after the installation? John W At 04:38 PM 08 07 2004 -0600, Ken Sanderson wrote: >Hello.
