Hi Roel & list, you are correct & this is the right place :) Please resort the index with sort -t $'\t' -k 1,1bdf <world02.index >world02.index.new Also, in the README at ftp://ftp.dict.org/pub/dict/pre/dict-world02-20030215.tar.gz, section "creating the dict database" the switch -f is used twice (second one not needed).
