This is top AND bottom posted on purpose! ;-) Personally I don't care. I prefer bottom posted slightly over top posting, but I'm not going to grip about either one on emails to threads on the DL mailing lists. > I have to say I dislike this discussion... because I've had it before > and nobody wins. I agree. People can be stubborn on their preferences. > I am always amazed that such a free-wheeling and > supposedly open forum as the internet can be *so* anal about stuff like > this... Lets face it, the strongest rules on the Interenet are called > "Requests For Comments" for gods sake. My comment is "I don't prefer > bottom posting". But I do it anyhow to avoid being sucked down into an > endless discussion with those who feel compelled to force their will > upon me. So much for the new digital freedom.... You have the freedom to top or bottom post, as far as I'm concerned. Friedrich (who strongly prefers bottom posting) also has the freedom to ignore questions if the posts irritate him. So, if you want Friedrich's excellent help on postings, posters _may_ want to reply with a bottom post format. Or not, the choice is yours (and his). ;-) - BS |
