For me its very important to be able to choose what packages i want to/can use. Did you think in making a router with a compact flash? In such situations, space is important. Devil-linux is more oriented on the router/standalone world than other distributions, as you can see on the webpage. Also you can choose what to install and what to leave out, and doesn't have much sense having a /opt/ dir full of uncompressed stuff... as i said, its only my opinion :) |
