Hi, Up until about 5 minutes ago, cx_Freeze didn't support adding version information resources to Windows executables. I always wanted to do so, however, so thanks for the reminder. I went ahead and checked in the code to Subversion trunk which will be part of the 4.2.2 release I plan to make shortly. I have a few more things I'd like to test, however. If you get a chance, please give it a try. You can safely replace cx_Freeze/dist.py and cx_Freeze/freezer.py in an existing installation with the ones in Subversion trunk. There is no need to build the base executables again to test this. You also have to have the win32 extensions installed for this to work. Without them, you will get a warning and the version information resource will not be created. Hope that works for you.
