Hi, I've got CVW up and running using RedHat 6.2 on a dual Pentium 233 MHz with 64MB of RAM. This machine is hooked to a cable modem on eth1 and an internal network on eth0 using 192.168.1.x for the internal machines. I'm running a firewall using ipchains, and I've opened up ports 8888 and 8889 both tcp and udp. I can connect fine into the server using one of the internal machines running windows. I'm able to display the map, go from room to room and such. I'm having a friend connect from outside the network in a different city, and not on the same cable network. He's using a dialup 56k connection running Windows 98 and using ZoneAlarm for his firewall. He's opened up ports 8888 and 8889 and can connect and login with no problems. The problems start when trying to do audio. When I bring up the audio tool up in the room, I get two entries for myself in the audio tool, and no entry for him, even though he has his audio tool up. When doing a private phone chat, I get an entry for me in the audio tool, and none for him, even though he has the audio tool up. He can hear me fine through the private chat, but I hear no audio from him. I've run a program called iplog on the eth1 interface to the net, and I see this message: Jan 5 21:44:42 ICMP: sa5399-104-41.stic.net: port is unreachable to (udp: dest port 3459, source port 62653) I've opened up upd port 3459 to no avail. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get this working? Ed Coates |
