[Ctags] C-tags for Multiple definition of function

Hello all,
I have one small query regarding the c-tags for
multiple definition of function. If a function is
defined in the function ptr with its body in some
other file in this case the tags are not showing me
the body of the function. Instead it is showing the
definition of the function in the function ptr. Is
there any run time fascility which will let me choose
between various option.
