As as example, consider the following directory structure: % cd base % ls tmp1.cpp tmp2.cpp sub_dir1 sub_dir2 % ls sud_dir1 tmp3.cpp tmp4.cpp %ls sub_dir2 tmp5.cpp tmp6.cpp Building the database from the "base" directory with the "-R" option does not include the .cpp files in the sub directories "sub_dir1" and "sub_dir2" %cd base %cscope -R *.cpp If the source files were ".c", then everything works perfect! Pls. let me know how to get around this problem. regards, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: mohsin bhally (mbhally) Date: 2003-09-11 19:36 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=846527 Thanks again... just for completeness sake for anybody running into this problem again - instead of using the -R option use: find /dir-path-name/ -type f \(-name '*.cpp' -o -name '*.c' \) -print > cscope.files and then cscope! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hans-Bernhard Broeker (broeker) Date: 2003-09-08 10:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=27517 Cscope doesn't really support C++ very well. Among the things it doesn't do is to actively search for C++ files in its default search algorithm. If you want C++ files to be parsed, you'll have to tell cscope about it: for simple cases cscope *.cpp for more complicated ones find -type f -name '*.cpp' > cscope.files cscope ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=204664&aid=802307&group_id=4664 |
