[Cruisecontrol-user] Problem getting SelfConfiguringPlugin to work correctly - two calls to configure()?

I am writing a SelfConfiguringPlugin but I'm getting some strange 
behaviours that I'm hoping somebody may be able to explain:

1) The first issue is that my configure method is getting called twice, 
which is strange enough.

2) The second problem is that the first call is passing in an 
essentially empty element, with no attributes or child content,
    despite the fact that my config file contains both forms of content 
for my custom tag.

Any information would be gratefully received.

I guess that one option migth be to simply ignore the first call, but 
before doing this I'd like to know that this is correct
behaviour, and also how to distinguigh the first call from subsequent 
calls - it seems tacky to hold a call counter or flag, and
it is possible that the tag might not have any content, so this on its 
own might not be sufficient to identify the 'dummy' call.
