I have gone back and read your entire posting :-) Here's the scoop. Vector instances are ill supported, and as far as I'm concerned they're candidates to be removed entirely from Cricket, or rather the compiler should translate them into their own subtree with the individual ports as targets. What you want to do will not be achieveable unless someone steps in and codes it up. I'd suggest to anyone to go to the layout that listInterfaces assumes. Sorry 'bout that, but I'm not likely to rectify it, because I think vector instances are a dead end.
