Well I am pretty sure that maildrop is accessing maildroprc (located under
/etc/) since mail is placed in the directory defined in this file (example:
$HOME/$HOST/$USER). From what I read, maildrop accesses first maildroprc and
then goes to search for .mailfilter (not sure of the name). Obviously I do
not have the latter file because I am not creating the maildirs.

The main reason why I tried to create mail directories from maildroprc is
because postfix used to this automatically when the first email was sent.
Note that I am not trying to compare the two - I just thought I missed some
configuration settings from maildrop side.
