A) In what ways does your site use cosign? Examples include "production", "evaluation", etc. Please include all uses of cosign at your institution that you are aware of. Production B) Please estimate the total number of cosign users in your deployment. 5350, although not all have activated their account. 2250 who have activated their account, but not all use cosign on a regular basis. The cosign is tied into our active directory so the 2250 have gone through cosign at least once to activate their AD account so they can log into the network, but there is no guarantee they check email or use other services requiring cosign. C) Please estimate the total number of distinct services ( service cookie names ) protected by cosign. 1 We are working towards the single sign on, so there is only one service right now. Currently, we have 5271 students behind a cosign protected implementation of IMP w/ cyrus backend. We use cosign to create an autologin into WebCT for students and faculty. Cosign is also protecting access to user account maintenance pages, some instructor protected pages, and soon library remote access. D) Please estimate the total number of people with cosign expertise at your site. 1 (although considering myself an expert is funny) E) Please give a brief description of any local cosign modifications you are maintaining. The error codes returned by MIT KRB5 on Debian don't match those coded into the daemon for a password mismatch or unknown user so I've modified those to return more user-friendly errors. F) Please give a brief description of where you work/who you work for at your institution ( multiple responses from the same instituion are great, the more data the better ) Richland Community College, Decatur, IL |
