Hi. I am running the following version: Conky 1.6.0_pre01224 compiled Sat Aug 2 21:20:38 PDT 2008 for Linux 2.6.24-19-generic (x86_64) My problem is that inspite of using the following settings: override_utf8_locale yes use_xft yes xftfont Terminus:size=12 I cannot seem to print the the degree symbol [°]. Since I run a Openbox+SlimDM setup I was concerned that perhaps my locale was messed up, however that all seems to be fine: $ locale LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="POSIX" LC_NUMERIC="POSIX" LC_TIME="POSIX" LC_COLLATE="POSIX" LC_MONETARY="POSIX" LC_MESSAGES="POSIX" LC_PAPER="POSIX" LC_NAME="POSIX" LC_ADDRESS="POSIX" LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX" LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX" LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX" LC_ALL=POSIX and I can type the character in xterm and other X apps. I was windering if anybody had an idea as to what I might be missing?? Thanks. AM |
