Hi guys! As Manuel alreday mention the best way was to fork and continue as separate project. However this has been already done by mComix project. http://sourceforge.net/p/mcomix/wiki/Home/ Which is more or less still active. Hi Toy, as far as I know, the main developer is not responding emails, and commits have stalled. So being free software, I think you can start by forking and then adding new features and fixing bugs. I also think is a great application. I've read many comics with it.
