I have a bit of Plone hackery that uses * Formulator * Archetypes * CMFFormController to make: * a generic formulator-form data container * a folder for a set of the above where the container and the folder have a configurable Formulator form used to display/edit the contents. I have it packaged up so it's installable in Plone. So the question is, would the folks here be interested in reviewing it for addition it to the Collective? I think it's usefull as it is, and could be even nicer with some more bells and whistles (i.e. having the FormulatorDataFolder let you sort by columns, adding a Sum/Average object that would keep totals for the folder, etc.) Marc |

I have been testing the Faq product from CVS with Plone 2.0rc3 and have been pleased with the results...simple, clean, tasty. I updated Plone to 2.0rc6 and I ran into a bit of trouble. Specifically, use_folder_contents is no longer used (see the plone collector-issue #2712) and has been renamed to typesLinkToFolderContentsInFC. I changed the references from use_folder_contents to typesLinkToFolderContentsInFC (diff attached), but Install.py would need to be modified to handle previous versions of Plone which is yet beyond my python skills. Traffic on this list is nearly non-existent...is this the right place to post? Thanks Cliff |

Hey folks. Sorry bout the cross-post, but it is cross-project. We at the Connexions Project at Rice University (cnx.rice.edu) have been working on integrating groups (specifically GRUF) into CMF (and specifically Plone.) I have checked in the latest work to this end for inclusion into Plone 1.1a. It's an alpha release, and make no mistake that this is an alpha feature. What exists: * two tool interfaces for using groups in CMF (along the lines of portal_members and portal_memberdata) * partial implementations of these tools using GRUF * Plone management screens for users and groups What you can do: * view users and groups * manage their properties and permissions * delete them What you can't do (but should by 1.1 final): * add groups TTP * create group workspaces * search for groups The components in GRUF (the tools and implementations) are checked in to the GRUF CVS under the 'groups-tool-branch'. I leave it up to whoever makes such decisions to merge to head. The components in Plone (mostly skins) are checked into HEAD. To use this new facility, you must install GRUF with these changes (hopefully we'll make HEAD soon) and manually install the two new tools. This will later be part of the install process. I believe the implemented bits to work, but please let me know if something goes wrong. Good patches gleefully accepted. --jcc |

Hi Rex, you have to manipulate the install.py script located in the Extensions folder (within CMFExample). Simply modify addNavigationTransitions as follows: def addNavigationTransitions(self): propTool = getToolByName(self, 'portal_properties') props=getattr(propTool, 'navigation_properties') for ctype in ('Partner', 'Client', 'Job'): ctype=ctype.lower() props._setProperty('%s.%s_edit.success' % (ctype, ctype ), 'view', 'string') props._setProperty('%s.%s_edit.failure' % (ctype, ctype ), 'edit', 'string') Raphael Hi, I've read the instructions to install CMFExample 0.5 but was unsuccessful. http://plone.org/Members/runyaga/news/cmfexample05.news I've copied over the files with the patch .py files I got: Zope Version (Zope 2.5.1 (binary release, python 2.1, linux2-x86), python 2.1.3, linux2) Python Version 2.1.3 (#1, Apr 15 2002, 11:13:45) [GCC 2.7.2.3] System Platform linux2 (mandrake 8.2) I'm a Zope/CMF/Plone/Python newbie though. Anyone see what can be the problem? Thanks. Rex Error I got from 'test' tab Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource.
