As I understand it, colinux does not interact with hardware devices directly, but rather has a set of special device drivers that interact with the host system's drivers. Currently, I have a custom PCI hardware running on Debian Linux with its own device driver. I would like to be able to use this hardware through colinux, and I do not need Windows to access this piece of hardware - I do not have a Windows driver for this PCI card. And in case you're wondering, I would like to have Windows running at the same time as this PCI hardware. At the moment, I have colinux running on my host windows system, but obviously I cannot access the custom hardware. Is it possible, and if so how difficult would it be, to make colinux access a PCI hardware directly? T |
